Las fondas of Mexico
to the
Lower East Side, NYC

Comida Corrida is a vibrant and electric Mexican restaurant that brings the bold flavors of Mexico straight to New York City, complemented by expertly crafted cocktails that elevate each dining experience.

The star of our menu is the signature comida corrida, a set meal that includes the soup of the day, rice and beans, handmade tortillas, a main dish, and a variety of sides. This offering captures the essence of our culinary vision and is central to what we aim to provide: an experience reminiscent of dining in las fondas of Mexico, where tradition and warmth make every visit feel like coming home.

The kitchen is led by Chef Alberto Gómez, originally from Acapulco de Juárez on Mexico’s Pacific coast. His menu is a heartfelt tribute to his family’s traditional recipes, enriched by the rich culinary heritage of Oaxaca, the birthplace of chiles and aromatic spices. Chef Alberto’s passion for Mexican cuisine shines through every dish, drawing from the Mixtec and Zapotec influences that make our offerings truly unique.
